Events

Between August and December 2018, ClimAAA reproduced its Interactive Show on Climate Change all over the Algarve, being present in the most varied events organised by the municipalities for the general public - from the largest regional product fairs and Christmas fairs to nights in the library and initiatives for sustainability.

 

The team of the Communication Plan of the AMAL Intermunicipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change also took part on the organisation of CLIMA 2018 - V National Congress on Climate Change, in which ClimAAA work was presented.

 

August 17-26, 2018

 

FATACIL - Handicraft, Tourism, Agriculture, Trade and Industry Fair is considered the largest fair in the South of the Tagus river. In the last edition it had about 700 exhibitors and over 170 000 visitors. ClimAAA was present at the exhibition space of the University of the Algarve, with several activities to raise awareness about Climate Change. In the first day, ClimAAA held its first seminar to the general public at the fair. This event marks the beginning of activities to engage with the general public which aim to bring climate change to the population of the Algarve.

Initial meeting involving the technical staff of the municipalities to present the project, including the work schedule, the proposals for each of the project phases, the main objectives of the project, the main problems of adaptation and the barriers to this process.

Oral communication entitled "Good practices for adaptation at the regional level: the Intermunicipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change in the Algarve", within the scope of the Launching Seminar of the Municipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change of the Municipality of Lagos.
